Middle Grey doesn't come close to matching the color of my (silver) 2015 Macbook Pro, nor a 2019 grey Macbook Pro. It lets a lot of light come through the edges of the logo on the back - I was really hoping for something that would a better job of hiding the logo - this just accentuates it.
